Why You're Still Struggling:

It's Scary

You open Dorico… and feel lost.

Flows, modes, unfamiliar terms.

You’re not even sure where to begin — and every click feels risky.

Too Different

You switched from another notation program, and nothing works the way you expect.

Shortcuts are different. Workflow is different.

So you Google one problem at a time instead of actually learning.

Everything In Different Places

You’ve watched tutorials… but still don’t feel confident.

One video covers note input. Another covers layouts.

You know pieces of Dorico, but not how it all fits together.

No Clear Path Forward

You know there are gaps in your knowledge.

Without a structured roadmap, you're always one step behind where you want to be and you're not sure you'll ever feel truly fluent.

The Solution:

DORICO: BEGINNER TO PRO

Built for Real Beginners

You haven't lost your ability to learn, you just need the right guide. Built for people who want to truly understand what they're doing.

Switchers Welcome

Coming from Sibelius or Finale? You'll be shown how Dorico thinks about your music so you're working with it, not against it.

Detailed

Master project setup, note input, layouts, engraving, and playback — so you’re working with confidence, not confusion.

A Clear Path

Every lesson builds on the last, from your first project to a polished score.

No gaps. No guessing. Anyone can do it.

Hello, I’m Ernesto. I’m a composer, educator, and content creator. I’ve been a professional music teacher for the past 10 years, and I’ve been using Dorico for my professional composing work for the past 6.

Maybe like you, I switched from a different notation software to Dorico and had to unlearn the ways it did things and learn how Dorico thinks of my music. It wasn't easy, and it took a lot of researching things here and there, but quickly discovered that Dorico's intelligent layout and design made these tasks faster and faster. I discovered the best note-input method for me, how to quickly edit the music I've already inputted, use Dorico's options dialogues to set project-wide settings, and get really clean playback.

Today, I use Dorico to write and engrave concert music for my music publishing company, orchestrating and copying parts for pro media projects, and much more. I’ve also created content and videos for the official Dorico YouTube channel and Dorico’s official website.
